Woodstock's July 4th Spectacular

The City of Woodstock’s 2023 July 4th Spectacular takes place on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023. The day’s events include a downtown road race, a Main Street parade, a family-friendly festival, and a thrilling firework display after dusk.

At 7 a.m., Main Street and Rope Mill Road will close for the Freedom Run. The 5K/1 Mile/Tot Trot has a new route this year and the start and finish line will be on Elm Street. Awards will take place on the Woodstock Arts Event Green. Register at woodstockfreedomrun.com. Roads will reopen at 8:45 a.m.

At 9:45 a.m., Main Street and Rope Mill Road will close again for the parade. The parade will begin at Woodstock Elementary School and continue south along Rope Mill Road to Main Street. Floats will continue through downtown Woodstock to the Sam’s Club near GA-92. Roads will reopen around 11:30 a.m. The parade will take place rain or shine unless there is dangerous weather. State Champions River Ridge Girls Basketball Team will serve as the Grand Marshals of the parade.

Following the parade, gather in the Park at City Center for a family-friendly festival that will take place until 3 p.m. There will be food, games, arts and crafts, music, and vendors.

There will be a fireworks celebration in the area of GA-92 and I-575 after dusk. Woodstock Police Department has established an exit traffic plan and will be directing traffic following the fireworks.
