Hogan will retire from the City of Woodstock as Assistant City Manager for Public Works on December 28, 2023. "Our city shines as an example in infrastructure and public works planning, largely because of Rob Hogan's incredible contributions," said Mayor Michael Caldwell. "His career impact in Woodstock has built a stronger community for generations, and I am so proud to see him honored as our Grand Marshal in this year's parade."
Rob was hired as Utility Billing Manager in June 2013. Prior to that in 2011, Hogan completed an internship with the City of Woodstock to fulfill the requirements of his Masters in Public Administration from Kennesaw State University. Rob served as the Public Works General Manager from May 2014 to June 2016. He was promoted to Assistant Public Works Director in July 2016 and to Public Works Director in July 2018. Hogan has served as the Assistant City Manager - Public Works win January 2020.
Before joining the City of Woodstock, Rob was the Managing Partner and CEO of ForwardFuel - CNG Technology Systems. Prior to that, he was an Associate Director of the Department of Homeland Security - USCIS, a Group Executive for Equifax, and Vice President of Days Inn of America.
“I have really enjoyed working with Rob over the past decade," said Woodstock City Manager Jeff Moon. "We are fortunate with his corporate background that he decided to spend the last part of his career in public service, and I am forever grateful he chose to spend it with the City of Woodstock."
Among the many advancements in infrastructure and public works that Rob Hogan has orchestrated during his career with the City of Woodstock are the city's first comprehensive transportation plan approved by council and published online for citizens to review in 2022 and updated in 2023. Hogan was also the driving force behind the HUB Transformation Project, the most significant project the city has undertaken to reduce congestion and improve efficiencies for traffic in the downtown area that improved seven streets and six intersections.
