The City of Woodstock Parks and Recreation Department hosts a variety of year round Special Events. From concerts in the park to holiday parades and festivals, there's always something happening for the entire family.

2018 Calendar of Events
July 4, 2018- July 4th Spectacular
Our festive parade kicks off the daylong celebration at 10:00 am.
starting at Woodstock Elementary School on Rope Mill Rd.
It then travels down Main St. to Sam’s Club at Hwy 92.
After the parade, join us in The Park at City Center until 3:00 pm for food, live music with live music, children’s games, inflatables, arts and crafts, Adam the Juggler, and vendors of all types.
The day concludes with fireworks at dusk behind the Target shopping center at Hwy 92 and I-575. See our website for traffic directions for the fireworks show.

August 11, 2018- Concert- Everclear
Thursdays in September- Brown Bag Concerts
Free lunchtime concerts in The Park at City Center from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, every Thursday in September. A great Mothers Morning Out activity! So, bring a chair, pick up some lunch at one of our great downtown restaurants, and enjoy!

September 11, 2018- 9/11 Day of Remembrance
Please join us as we remember, on this 17th anniversary, those we have lost and the service men and women who continue to fight for our freedom. We honor the men and women wearing the uniform of police, fire and rescue. Visit our 9/11 Memorial that features two subway tracks recovered from beneath the crumbles of the World Trade Center. We will also be giving out a limited supply of 9/11 Remembrance lapel pins. 6:00 pm in The Park at City Center.
October 31, 2018- Kidsfest
Halloween trick or treat activities for our younger ghouls and goblins, including moonwalks, DJ Ronnie, Tim the Magician, Adam the Juggler, games, the ever-popular stringed apple and pumpkin bowling games, face painting, costume contest and candy give-away, all in the safety of The Park at City Center. Come early and enjoy dinner with our downtown restaurants and park vendors. This event begins at 3 pm and ends at 8 pm. Costume contest at 6:00 pm in front of the stage! Trophies and prizes for the funniest, scariest, cutest, and best costume! Vote for your favorite pet costume, too!
Event held on Halloween as a safe alternative to trick-or-treating.

November 17, 2018- Tis the Season to be GREEN
December 1, 2018- Christmas Jubilee
December 1-16, 2018- Santa's Mailbox
Have the kids drop off their letters to Santa in the North Pole Mailbox!
The mailbox is in the gazebo at The Park at City Center until Sunday, December 16th. Just before Christmas, they will receive a personalized letter back from Santa! Please remember to include a return address.
No classroom projects, please.
