CITY OF WOODSTOCK KICKS OFF LCI UPDATE The City of Woodstock recently kicked off its 10-year supplemental update of the Town Center Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) for the historic downtown area. The LCI update builds upon the success of the original 2002 LCI plan and will articulate a contemporary and innovative “road map” for the City and its partners such as the Downtown Development Authority, Greenprints Alliance, Elm Street Arts Center, Main Street Woodstock and Cherokee County. Examples of successful projects implemented from the 2002 LCI include an infill residential and mixed use downtown development that was a winner of the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) Development of Excellence award, improved brick sidewalks, new streetscapes with planters, and revitalized storefronts along Main Street.
