Towne Lake Pass Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Thursday, January 4, 2018

RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY FOR TOWNE LAKE PASS TRAIL The City of Woodstock will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Towne Lake Pass Trail at 5:00p.m. on January 4, 2018. The ceremony will be held at the Woofstock Park Trail Head located at 150 Dupree Road. The multi-purpose trail connection was built in conjunction with Cherokee County. The Cherokee County Commission, in December 2016, approved a $2.86 million contract with Integrated Construction & Nobility, Inc. to construct the project. The concrete path runs from Woofstock Park to Towne Lake Hills South. It will connect Towne Lake residents to the Noonday Creek Trail; which runs from Market Street in downtown Woodstock to Highway 92. The project was funded using Woodstock's portion of the county's 2008 parks bond proceeds. In 2016, The City of Woodstock and Cherokee County Board of Commissioners approved a joint resolution dedicating the trail to former Woodstock City Council member Tessa Basford who passed away in 2
