Woodstock Police Department Set To Host 2012 National Night Out

The Woodstock Police Department, in partnership with other local public safety agencies, joins forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 29th annual “National Night Out” to be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., in the Park at City Center, 101 Arnold Mill Road in Woodstock.

“National Night Out” is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anticrime efforts, strengthen police and community partnerships, and to send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are uniting together to fight crime.

This event will feature S.W.A.T. and K-9 demonstrations, rock climbing wall, helicopter viewing, bounce houses, and more activities for children of all ages. Free food will be available and music provided by The Celebration Crew.

Other partnering agencies include: Georgia State Patrol, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services, Holly Springs Police Department, Woodstock Fire Department, Cherokee Safe Kids, and Air Life 5.

“National Night Out” is sponsored locally by Colby Chiropractic and also by Target, a national corporate sponsor.
