In the News:

December 20, 2016 – The City of Woodstock’s 20th annual Summer Concert Series line-up has been confirmed and City officials are excited to announce the following shows:

On Friday, May 12, 2017, the 20th annual Summer Concert Series will open with the Charlie Daniels Band.  Charlie Daniels, who was recently inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, is sure to be a crowd pleaser with his signature song “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”

On Saturday, June 10, 2017, Woodstock will welcome Robert Randolph and the Family Band to the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater stage.  Robert Randolph and the Family Band
is a combination of rock, funk, soul, jazz, and the jam band scene fused into one sound (www.robertrandolph.net).

On Saturday, July 8, 2017, Drivin n Cryin will headline the show.  A southern rock band formed in Atlanta in 1985, Drivin n Cryin is predicted to be a favorite of the 2017 Summer Concert Series line-up.

Gump Fiction: The Ultimate 90’s Experience
, will take to the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater stage on Saturday, August 12, 2017.  Known as the Ultimate 90s Experience, they will take you back to the days of dial-up internet, slap bracelets, Tamagotchi pets, and the music you forgot you loved. Gump Fiction is your chance to go back in time and rock out to your favorite A-side tracks, from Nirvana to Britney Spears, and everywhere in between (www.gumpfiction.com/about).

Runaway June will close out the series on Saturday, September 9, 2017.  A country music trio, they bring to the stage a sound that has not been heard by country music fans since the days of the Dixie Chicks.  With songs such as “Lipstick,” their music speaks to the modern woman.

“We wanted a band line-up that was diverse, so that there was something for everyone” says Woodstock’s City Manager, Jeff Moon.

The 20th annual Woodstock Summer Concert Series will be held at North Georgia’s newest outdoor music venue, Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater.  Each concert will start at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.

City officials are currently working to finalize plans to utilize a shuttle for off-site parking.  More information on parking shuttle plans will be released in early 2017.

The City of Woodstock is pleased to welcome Carriage Kia of Woodstock as this year’s presenting sponsor for the Summer Concert Series.
