The Woodstock Planning, Design & Sustainability division of the Community Development Department engages citizens in dialogue about Woodstock's future and plays a central role in guiding the long-term development of the built and natural environment. Some of the responsibilities that are undertaken by the division include the evaluation and coordination with outside agencies on regional growth policy, monitoring and updating the City's Comprehensive Plan, draft land use policy, and the development of sub-area and urban design plans. The division provides staff support to the City's Planning Commission and the Mayor and City Council regarding planning studies, annexations, rezonings and variances.
