NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE

The City of Woodstock, Georgia has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 9.52 percent. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at the Chambers at City Center located at 8534 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia on Monday August 8th, 2022, at 7pm. Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at the Chambers at City Center located at 8534 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia on Monday August 15th, 2022, at 7pm, and Monday August 22nd, 2022, at 7pm. This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 5.693 mills, an increase of .495 mills over the full rollback amount. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 5.198 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $350,000 is approximately $69.30 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $575,000 is approximately $113.85.
