Along with the occupational tax license application, a Massage Establishment Business application must also be completed. The owner of the Massage Establishment must be a state licensed Massage Therapist. A background check will be completed for the owners of the business and all employees (Therapist and Non-Therapist). The fee for a new Massage Establishment Business is $100.00. The fee to renew the business is $50.00 annually.
If any person is employed by the massage establishment and performs work that does not require a professional license from the Georgia Secretary of State, he or she must complete a Work Permit. Please see section 22-143 in the ordinance provided below.
