FRESH START CHEROKEE

Fresh Start Cherokee is an initiative of the Cherokee Office of Economic Development designed to create a culture of entrepreneurship in Cherokee by providing educational programming and support for startups. The program is envisioned to speak to entrepreneurs across the county and help in educating the next generation about entrepreneurship and startups. With programs like 1 Million Cups Cherokee, The Lunch Circuit and  other meetups, Fresh Start Cherokee is building a collaborative community of support.

THE CIRCUIT 

The Circuit is 3,000 square feet of coworking, collaboration and innovation space for students, entrepreneurs and local community to collide. The Circuit is the official Student Center for Chat Tech. students and their space for work, projects, hanging with friends and interacting with local entrepreneurs. The Circuit is the first iteration of Fresh Start Cherokee and the collaborative partnership between Chattahoochee Technical College, the Cherokee Office of Economic Development and the Woodstock Office of Economic Development. Located in beautiful downtown Woodstock in walking distance from the best restaurants, bars, shops, outdoor entertainment and trail system in North Georgia.

The Circuit is open for use by Chat Tech students, entrepreneurs and remote workers for coworking, and the general public for coffee and work.

The Cherokee Chamber is  an active, viable organization serving more than 1,030 members through professional and personal development opportunities while promoting a strong, vigorous economic climate in Cherokee County. They create an atmosphere for new business growth in the county, strive to ensure existing businesses thrive and newcomers and visitors recognize what Cherokee County has to offer.

SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides tools, training and resources to help small businesses grow and succeed. Designated as one of Georgia’s top providers of small business assistance, the SBDC has 17 offices ranging from Rome to Valdosta to serve the needs of Georgia’s business community. Since 1977, the SBDC has helped construct a statewide ecosystem to foster the spirit, support, and success of hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs and innovators.

The Small Business Development Center, a Public Service and Outreach Extension of The University of Georgia, is funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center is nationally accredited by the Association of SBDCs.
