For example, Woodstock Police Department's Auxiliary Unit plays a valuable role in supplementing and enhancing sworn and paid personnel. The Citizen's Public Safety Academy allows individuals to gain an insight into the workings of our police department. The Explorers Unit provides educational training programs for young adults on the purposes, mission, and objectives of law enforcement. Through our Public Safety Foundation, works with the local community to meet the needs of our police and fire departments. Certified police officer can donate their time through our Reserve Unit. Woodstock Police Department also serves as a Transaction Safe Place to help keep our citizens safe during the exchange of property through online or other sales.
