OVERVIEW

The Rubes Creek Water Reclamation Facility uses a Zenon Membrane filtration system to treat and process city wastewater, and is in operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The plant treats on average 1 million gallons of wastewater per day with the capacity to treat 2.5 million gallons per day in preparation for future growth of the city. A new headworks screening and grit removal system was added to the plant in 2012, which now provides even greater water cleaning functions and cost saving efficiencies.

The primary responsibilities of the staff at the wastewater treatment plant include:

  • Operations and facility maintenance.
  • Controlling flow, and the processing of wastewater and by-product sludge.
  • Meeting or surpassing all local, state, and federal regulations.
