Mayors Welcomes Children to Woodstock

On May 1^st, Mayor Donnie Henriques welcomed second graders from Woodstock Elementary School to downtown Woodstock. Several classrooms visited the City Park and met with the Mayor, who answered tough questions like “How old are you?” and “Where does Oprah Winfrey live?”. The children also visited Dean’s Store where Juanita Hughes told lively stories of local history. The young visitors got to see a ladder truck up-close and learned about fire safety from the Woodstock Fire Department.
