Announcement Made at the Smart Cities and Intelligent Communities Conference in Taipei

TAIPEI, TAIWAN – Woodstock, Georgia was named one of the world’s Smart21 Communities of 2024 in Taipei, Taiwan on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Smart Cities and Intelligent Communities Conference hosted by the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) conducted as part of the Taiwan Smart City Summit & Expo.

Woodstock is a semi-finalist in ICF’s annual Awards Program. ICF will name the 2024 Intelligent Community of the Year at the ICF Summit in November. One of the 21 communities named on Wednesday will succeed Binh Duong, Vietnam, the 2023 Intelligent Community of the Year.

Each of the cities, towns, or regions honored as a Smart21 community have applied the six principles of the ICF’s Community Accelerator Strategy to build inclusive economic prosperity, social health and cultural richness, which together make a community strong and resilient.

“Woodstock is honored to be among this diverse list of communities and we are proud to represent the State of Georgia with fellow honoree Warner Robins,” said Mayor Michael Caldwell. “The City of Woodstock is committed to improving its citizens quality of life through smart technology programs. From transportation systems to innovative infrastructure technology, the city has been boldly pursuing the initiatives of its Smart Master Plan since 2020.”
